A persons temperament makes Him outgoing and extroverted or shy and introverted. It impels some people to become art and music enthusiasts, whereas others are sports- industry minded. Children born of the same parents may have totally temperaments; in fact, I have met outstanding musicians whose siblings were tone- deaf.
Temperament is not the only influence upon our behavior, of course. Early home life, training, education, sex, and motivation also exercise powerful influences on our action through out life. Temperament, however, dominates our life, not only because it affects us initially but because, like body structure, color of eyes, and other physic characteristics, it is permanent through out life. An extrovert remains and extrovert. He may tone down the expression of his extroversion, but he will always be outgoing. Similarly, although and introvert may be able to come out of his shell and act more aggressively, he will never be transformed into an extrovert.
Temperament sets broad guideline on everyones behavior-pattern that will influence a person as long as he lives. On one side are his strengths, on the other his is weaknesses. The primary advantage to leaning about the four basic temperaments is to discover our most pronounced strength and weaknesses. In this way we can fulfill our personal destiny to the maximum.
Temperament is the combination of inborn traits that subconsciously affect human behaviors. These traits, arranged genetically on the basis of nationality, race, sex, and other hereditary factors, are passes on by the genes. Some physiologist suggests that we may get as many genes from our grandparents as we do from our parents, which could account for the grater resemblance of some children to their grandparents than their parents. The alignment of temperament traits is just an unpredictable as the color of the eyes or size of body.
In summary, temperament is the combination of the traits we were born with; character is our 'civilized' temperaments; and personality is the 'face' we show to others. Of the three, temperament has the greatest influence on our behavior.

The Sanguine
A person with a sanguine temperament is a warm, buoyant, lively and ‘’enjoying’’ person. He is receptive by nature, and external impressions easily find their way to his heath, where they readily cause an outburst of response. Sanguine is so outgoing that I call him a super extrovert. He is fascinating storyteller, and his warm, emotional nature almost makes him relieve the experience as he tells it.
Mr Sanguine never lacks for friends. He can genuinely feel the joy and sorrows of the person he meets and has the capacity to make him feel important, as though he were a very special friend, and he is, as long that sanguine is looking at him. He then moves on to the next person he meets and fixes equal regard on him.
A sanguine is never at a loss for words, though he often speak without thinking. His open sincerity, however, has a disarming effect on many of his listeners, causing them to respond to his mood. His freewheeling, seeming exciting, extrovertish way of life way of life makes him the envy of the more timid temperament types.
Like all temperaments, Sanguine has serious weaknesses, which, if left untended, will either destroy them or limit their incredible potential. Their greatest weakness, in my opinion, is reflected by a weak will and lack of discipline. This now bring us to the Strength and Weakness of Mr Sanguine.
Sanguine Strengths and Weaknesses
This fun-loving, people-oriented person is a natural salesman, artist, or people manipulator. No one has a more natural gift to motivate and work with others- if he can get his act together. Although he primarily lacks self-discipline, other weakness also arises, as the following chart indicates.

The Choleric
A Choleric person is the hot, quick, active, practical, strong-willed temperament type who is self-sufficient and very independent. He tend to be decisive and opinionated, finding it easy to make decision both for him self other people. Like Sanguine, Choleric is an extrovert, but not nearly so intense.
Mr Choleric thrives on activity. In fact, to him life is activity. He does not need to be stimulated by his environment, but stimulates his environment with his endless ideas, plans, goals, and ambitions. Never vacillating under the pressure of what other thinks, he takes a firm on issues and can often be found crusading against some social injustice or subversive activity.
Choleric is not frightened by adversity; in fact, it tends to encourage him. his dogged determination usually allows him to succeed where others have failed, not because his plans are better than theirs, but because others have become discourage and quit, whereas he has doggedly kept pushing ahead. Mr Choleric is a born leader, identified by business management experts as ‘the SNL (Strong Natural Leader).
Mr Choleric emotional nature is the least-developed part of his temperament. He does not sympathise easily with others, nor does he naturally show or express compassion. Reflecting little appreciation for music or the fine arts, unless is secondary temperament traits are those of the Melancholy, he primary seeks utilitarian and productive values I life. Choleric are extremely hostile people. Some learn to control their anger, but most remain dormant volcanoes, threatening a violent eruption. If their strong will is not brought into control by proper parenting discipline as children, they develop angry, tumultuous habits that plague them throughout life.
The anger of Choleric is quite different from that of Sanguine. Choleric is the most unaffectionate of all the temperaments and becomes emotionally spastic at the thought of any public show of emotion. The Choleric of this life are very effective people if their weakness are not indulged.

The Melancholy
Melancholy is the richest of the temperaments-self-sacrificing, analytical, gifted, perfectionist type with a very sensitive emotional nature. No one gets more enjoyment from the fine arts than the melancholy. By nature he is prone to be introvert, but since is felling pre-dominate; he is given to a variety of moods. How-ever at other times he would be gloomy and be depressed, and during this period he becomes with drawn and he can be quite antagonistic.
Melancholy is a very faithful friend unlike sanguine he does not make friend easily. He does not push him self to go and meet other people, but rather lets them come to him. Like the rest he does not only like others but has a strong desire to be loved by them. Disappointing experiences, however, makes him reluctant to take people at face value, he is prone to be suspicious when others seek him out or shower him with attention.
Melancholy finds him self reticent to initiate some new project, or he may conflict with those who which to do so, because he is afraid of failing. Whenever a person looks at obstacles instead of recourses or goals, he will easily becomes discouraged before he start. If a melancholy is being confronted about his attitude he says he is not negative that he is just being be realistic. Some of the world greatest geniuses have being notorious for their long bouts of melancholia. And some have being committed suicide.
The creativity and innate strength of the melancholy are as pronounced as his weakness. Any one who have work with a gifted melancholy very long can anticipate that his first reaction to any thing will be negative. A melancholy suffers from evil thoughts, but when he compound the problem by verbalizing them which not only reinforces the spirit of negation but devastate his wife.

The Phlegmatic
The phlegmatic is the calm, easygoing, never get upset individual with such a high boiling point, that he seldom becomes angry. He is without question the easiest person to get along with and is by nature the most likable of all the temperaments.
Life for him is a mellow, pleasant experience in which he avoid as much involvement as possible. He is so calm and unruffled that he never seems agitated, no matter what circumstances surround him. He is consistence every time you see him. How ever beneath his cool, reticent, almost timid personality, Mr. phlegmatic have a very capable combination of abilities.
The phlegmatic does not lack for friends, because he enjoys people and as natural, dry sense of humor. He is a type of guy who can have a crowed of people in stitches, yet never crack a smile. Possessing the unique capability for seeing some thing humorous in others and their action, he maintains a positive approach to life. He has a retentive mind and is capable of being a fine imitator.
Mr. Phlegmatic tends to be a spectator in life and tries not to get very involved with the activities of others. In fact, with great reluctance is he ever motivated to any form of activity beyond his daily routine. He will not volunteer for leadership on his own, but when it is forced upon him, he proves to be a very capable leader. He has a conciliating effect on others and act as natural peacemaker.
One of the less obvious weakness of the phlegmatic is his selfishness. Every temperament faces this problem, but phlegmatic is particularly affected with the disease, though he is so gracious and proper that few people are aware of it. Selfishness makes him self-indulgent and unconcerned about his family need for activity.
No one can be more stubborn than the phlegmatic, but he is so diplomatic that he may proceed half way through life before others catch on. He almost never openly confronts another person of refuses to do something. But he will somehow manage to sidestep the demand. This now bring us to the Strength and Weakness of a Phlegmatic.
